The light that should come on when inserting your cartridge into the Canon printer remains off. Is this normal?

In order to respect patents, our cartridges do not reproduce this function. Nevertheless, your cartridge will be perfectly recognised when the printer cover is closed. If the printer is unable to print, the cartridge must be replaced.
